This square pillowcase is distinguished by its bold design, expert weaving, and of course the small, clearly intended idiosyncrasies that such a composition shows off. While red, black, and cream are dominant, notice the little bursts of orange, green, and even pink around the edges. Notice, too, that the twin diamonds that compose the main motif are not quite alike. Not only does one contain nine smaller diamonds while the other features only one, but the latter has a subtle red outer boarder. Consider the care this seemingly superfluous extra detail suggests! Great condition, with the exception of a small repair on the back as pictured.
