This pouf is unique within the collection for its representation of a human figure. Arms raised, this person appears to be at once iconic and ecstatic. To his left a series of light grey and cream-colored diamonds ascend in a pyramid-form with an elegant symmetry offset by the abstract column at the left. Each side has a counterbalancing dark patch: triangle vs. square. Which will he choose?

But he’s not alone. Notice the second figure on the edge of the pouf? What an enigmatic, humanistic expression in the form of woven wool.
